ITBS (Iowa Testing)
Measures a student’s achievements in concepts and subject matter commonly taught at a given grade level; reveals possible strengths and weaknesses.
Students with higher scores are often eligible for placement in advanced and gifted throughout their academic career.
The ITBS Test is administered to all students in enrolled in public schools. Local Public Schools administer the test in 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grade and is held during the month of October. ITBS scores are used by schools to determine class placement. 7th grade ITBS scores are used by Dekalb Schools to determine high school class placement. 8th grade ITBS scores are used by Gwinnett Schools to determine high school placement. The test is also used to determine selection for student participation in various summer/academic programs.
Academic Advantage Tutoring provides test preparation for students in grades K-8 who are enrolled in public or private institutions. The ITBS Test is typically administered to private school students every spring. Please call to schedule.
