I have been tutored by many other professional tutors but none of them were like Academic Advantage Tutoring. It’s like being in a classroom with a teacher all to yourself to help you with homework you might not understand. Academic Advantage Tutoring has helped me throughout my high school years. Ms. Kim Belt has tutored me for as long as I can remember and has helped me in most of my test preps for college. She helped me understand assignments better, and if there was a question I needed answered she would answer it to the fullest extent. I have had difficulty in several subjects, especially language arts. Ms. Kim Belt helped me to prepare for the Compass test I took for Savannah State. I earned an 81 on the Reading and Language arts portion. Now I am on my way as a Freshman to Savannah State University, class of 2018.
I’ve been meaning to stop by and check out your new location for Academic Advantage since I am just up the street off of Henderson. We are so grateful for all your help with Brittany during her high school years. We are so glad she took the Act prep class with Academic Advantage. It made a difference in her Act scoring. She was on honor roll last semester and Zac achieved deans list last semester. We are so happy with all the help you have given our family. Zac will be a sophomore next year and we will stay in touch to see when he needs to start his preparation for act/sat prep class. I can’t remember if I mentioned that Brittany will be going to the University of South Carolina in August. We are so happy. We were able to get her in state tuition too. Will talk with you more about the changes in the Sat testing for Zachary. Thanks again for Academic Advantage and all that you all did for Brittany.P.S. I’ll stop by soon.Gloria FrederickBig hug to you and April
Before I received tutorial services, my school work was not organized and I was not doing well in school. Since I have been receiving tutoring my grades have increased and on my last report card, I received all A’s and one B. (I know I would have received all A’s if my parents would have taken me for tutoring more).
Upon graduating from middle school I received an award for A and B Honor Roll and an award for “Most Respectful Student”. Now I am in the 9th grade and I have received an award for Honor Roll in high school. I am still tutored by Ms. Belt twice a month and she assists me with my Math and Science. I like coming to Academic Advantage Tutoring. Because of tutoring, I now enjoy school and all of my academic subjects.
Before coming to Academic Advantage Tutoring, my math grades were not what they could be. Coming from home schooling to the public school system, my math foundation was not very solid. By having me take a diagnostic test, we were able to pin point my weaknesses and set up a program to reinforce needed concepts. Now after tutoring, my grades are excellent. I passed the all sections of the Georgia High School Graduation Test with flying colors (including math!) and I have an A in my math class.
My son Holden completed 15 weeks of tutoring during the first semester of the 2006-2007 school year in Language Arts and Mathematics. Since his tutoring began, his grades improved dramatically as well as his attitude. My wife and I have noticed a big change in our son. I would say that the most significant improvement, though, would be his confidence. With the individualized help and his high confidence, he excelled in his classes. We have enrolled him for the second semester and our son continues to bring home excellent progress reports.
I want to thank Academic Advantage Tutoring for helping me with my school work in all of my subjects. Before I started tutoring, I had almost all f’s and a c. Now my grades have improved in all of my subjects. After all of your hard work in helping me to get organized and picking me up from school, I have become a believer that if you work hard for something, you will definitely achieve it. Thank you again for all of your help and for motivating me to achieve.
I just want to thank you for assisting my son Justin with the Science portion of the Georgia High School Graduation Test. He passed with a high score and he’s very excited! Thanks so much for all you do!
To Ms. Belt and Staff Thank you so very much for all you have done to help my daughter Marianna successfully pass the Science, Math and Social Studies portions of the Georgia High School Graduation Test. Please know that we are forever grateful for all you have done! Your patience, diligence and willingness to help are awesome!
I attend Academic Advantage Tutoring for Math. Before tutoring, I struggled with my math courses. Now I am making very good grades. I enjoy my tutorial sessions because my tutor teaches me Calculus and Analysis in a way I can understand. This is my second year with Academic Advantage Tutoring and I will definitely be back for Physics tutoring.
My name is Monica Ellington and my son is Earnest Ellington III. My concern for my son’s educational needs became apparent when he was given his CRCT results in the 4th grade (last school year). Upon getting the CRCT results, Earnest had failed the math portion. I knew he was in some serious trouble because he was approaching the fifth grade and he was required to pass the Math and Reading sections to be eligible for promotion to the 6th grade.
I had to come up with a sure plan to get him brought up to grade level so I searched the telephone directory and came across Academic Advantage Tutoring. I met with Ms. Kim and discussed my concerns about Earnest’s academic performance. Point blank I wanted to know “can you help him”. She responded she could but he needed one-on-one help and she needed to build his confidence. So he began to attend tutoring working with Ms. Kim. Shortly into the sessions, she realized that he didn’t know his multiplication which basically meant we had a lot of work. So the sessions began around October with what I felt was minimal progress. Around January/February he started improving more. March and April just before CRCT, Tre (Earnest) was on fire. The teacher started to notice an improvement from answering no questions in class to participation. This was a plus!!
It is now CRCT time. The day the Math section was given when Tre got home, I asked “how did it go?” He responded, “I feel pretty good about the test because it’s what Ms. Kim went over. So we anxiously awaited the result. On 5/21/08 when I came home from work, Tre said “Ma, I got good news, I passed the CRCT.” We started hugging, screaming and crying. I called Ms. Kim and thanked her for her helping my son. Because without her help, things looked really hopeless.
Academic Advantage Tutoring really helped my son in his academic journey!!
Thank you Ms. Kim.
Thank you for helping me to pass the Science portion of the Georgia High Graduation Test!
I attended Academic Advantage Tutoring for SAT prep. My SAT score increased by 180 points! The tutors are great and I would highly recommend this program.
Thank you for helping me receive a grade of “exceeds” on the 8th grade CRCT writing test!
I attended Academic Advantage Tutoring, and I got my GED last year. The school is a convenient place and has flexible time. The classroom is clean. The teachers are experienced in teaching and nice. There are all kinds of textbooks. No where else could be better. That is why I love it!
Dear Kim, Thank you for preparing Stevie to take the SSAT. I appreciate you being so flexible with your scheduling. You created a plan specifically to meet his needs. He did great on the SSAT thanks to your hard work. You are a pleasure to work with. I’m sure we will be calling on you in the future when SAT time comes. Sincerely, Margaret Landry
Many people have impacted my life. Yet one of the biggest influences did not come from a person, but a place. The place I am talking about is Academic Advantage Tutoring. My tutors help with my homework, studying, and projects. They also build confidence in my academic ability. This helps me because it is building an educational foundation, one which I can use to become successful in life.
The impact of the help I get on my school work is substantial. After school I go there to get help, learn more, and prepare for upcoming tests and quizzes. It impacts me because it makes school work easier for me and it helps me to get ahead of the class so I know what’s coming up. This allows me to better understand the curriculum that is being taught.
Now with the better understanding of what is being taught, the confidence I bring to the classroom has greatly increased.
When I complete an assignment my tutors check my work to make sure I understand the concepts. Not only do they check assignments, but they also make sure I understand the basic principles. In my English class I am assisted with vocabulary and my essay assignments. My math tutor helps me in Algebra 3 and I am also tutored in chemistry. Tutoring has helped me to maintain high grades. Before tutoring my grades were not as high as they could be. Since enrolling in tutoring the grades in all my subjects have improved. On my last progress report I had better grades than I had last school year.
My tutors also offer encouragement giving me advice on how to stay organized, and to study more effectively. This has helped to build my confidence and my academic abilities. My tutors correspond with my teachers to prepare a study plan for me. This allows them to teach ahead of my classes and to prepare me for future lessons my teachers may present in class. This helps me to be better prepared when my teachers teach new material.
My name is Geoffrey Rhymer. I graduated in 2007 at Druid Hills High School. I was successful in passing all of my GHSGT Exams except Science. The science test was the hardest test that I had ever taken. I was unsuccessful passing it so I decided to seek help at Academic Advantage Tutoring GHSGT test prep program with Kim. She really worked with me and gave me the confidence to keep trying to pass the test. Finally in March, I retook the test and in May, I learned that I passed the test. I was so excited that all of my struggles and hard work paid off. I want to thank Kim at Academic Advantage Tutoring for helping through this and God for being patient with me because without Him, none of this would have been possible. I would recommend Academic Advantage Tutoring programs to anyone who is struggling through a class or test. They will work with you to make sure you get the proper help you deserve.
Dear Ms. Kim Thank you for all the hard work and excellent leadership you have provided for the Summer Academy. Thank you for helping us with all our work. We will see you next year.
Thanks for your help with Brian. Along with your tutoring, your mentorship and direction helped him a great deal. You are appreciated.
Kim, Thank you so much for the time you have spent tutoring Geoffrey for the Science High School Graduation test. I really appreciate your efforts and pray that God will continue to use you as you help so many others.
Dear Ms. Kim, You really have a gift of teaching Biology. You have been able to explain Biology to my child when no else could. God blessed you with the talent to teach. We are so blessed to have found you. Thank you so much for all that you do. We hope you have a wonderful 2011. God Bless you.
My son got a 92 in his class. He said that he felt that the tutoring was beneficial for him because a lot of kids complained that there were things on the EOCT that they had not seen before, but he had because of tutoring. Thanks so much for everything. Please let me know about the transportation service.
I wanted drop you a quick note to say that Makayla is doing well in Summer School. AAT has definitely helped her confidence which shows in her grades and vice versa! Once school starts in August, I want to get on a schedule to bring her in once or twice a week to work in your small groups.
If you live in the Tucker area, I highly endorse Academic Advantage Tutoring. They provide High School Graduation Test help, EOCT prep and SAT/ACT preparation along with tutoring for all grades and all academic subjects.
I pray that you’ve had a great year so far. I can tell you that my girls benefitted greatly from their enrichment with you last year. I am emailing to see if you are going to have a summer program this year like you did last summer. Thanks!
My son Christopher did so well on his SSAT that we decided that he did not need to take it a second time. Thanks for your help in preparing him!
I did take the GACE exam on Saturday and did very well on the Math part!
